The Trastevere turns into a very dynamic place at night in the piazza where there are musical artist performing one after another late into the evenings. The local restaurants serve pasta dishes with mozzarella cheese and gelato shops whip up their goodness around every corner. 

 

Night is when the Trastevere comes alive and people are moving about almost to a rhythm of the night. In the piazza, there is usually a large cathedral where you may often see a priest or nun moving about the area that otherwise looks like a haunted district when the lights are dim.
