We rented a room upstairs on the first floor of the building in this first photo. It was an Airbnb and the company owned several nicely renovated apartments, but you couldn't know just how beautiful the room was by looking at the outside of the building.

 

Laundry and air conditioners litter the apartment balconies and are perfectly messy, if there is such a thing. There is a lovely intricate pattern that lies on the streets and sidewalks and it is so special to see under your feet. When walking outside of the building into the street it was exciting to feel the energy of the people moving about in all directions.

 

Walking these narrow crowded streets you feel a cozy connection to the environment and the people around you, and all of this makes Europe a very interesting place to be.
