While visiting Rome for a month we took time to visit Naples by train. Naples is a beautiful city but the colors really come alive at night when the stores are closed and the graffiti on the old buildings pop against the street lights.

 

At night, Naples becomes club like when after 11 o'clock on a weeknight a musical artist is pursuing his craft and the crowds in the piazza are enjoying the entertainment without an end in sight.

 

Italians are passionate about their mozzarella cheese and ice cream and both pizza and ice cream shops are the last places to close. Night is the best time to get a good picture of the buildings without all of the people interrupting the view. It's also when the juxtaposing lights and colors become perfectly vivid.
